The challenge
Where they started
Techno Saudi carries out technical jobs on client sites. Work was coordinated on paper sheets and WhatsApp threads: tasks were handed out by message, progress was hard to follow, paper job sheets were easy to lose, and getting a client's sign-off meant chasing paperwork after the team had left. Managers had no single view of what was happening, and clients had no easy way to check the status of their jobs.
Goals
- Replace paper sheets and WhatsApp threads
- Live visibility for managers and clients
- Instant, paperless client sign-off
Our solution
What we built
We designed and developed a custom web application on Laravel and MySQL, hosted on a VPS, with four roles: admins, managers, workers and clients. Managers create, schedule and assign jobs; workers run them on site from iPads, starting and finishing each job, working through checklists and logging time, materials, photos and notes; and clients sign off directly on the iPad. Every sign-off produces a PDF job report, notifications go out automatically on WhatsApp through UltraMsg, and dashboards give each role a live view of every job. The app works offline on site, syncs when back online, and runs in Arabic and English. We shipped an MVP in one month and the full platform in three.
